One more interesting tidbit from “StatCounter data“, though on absolute basis this may not make much sense as WP installed base % shown in StatCounter data looks slightly dubious. Anyways, from wk 01 of this year to wk 13 (March last week) the WP growth has been from 1.01 to 1.23% and from wk 14 to wk 26 (June last week) it has been from 1.23 to 1.45%.
While % points wise this growth is similar, but since installed base of smartphones may have grown by more than 200 million during Q1, hence growth in shipment volumes in Q2 can be more than, what was seen in Q1. In Q1, Nokia reported a growth of 27% in Lumia shipment volumes, and if have to consider StatCounter data, we may expect nearly 35% growth in Lumia shipments.
Again, this depends on the accuracy of StatCounter data and please use your own analysis, before taking it as “Gospel truth“.
