Nokia Phones still hold 27% Handsets market-share in UAE

Nokia will be soon back to world of phones via HMD Global and FIH. We last reported that two Nokia phones and at least two Nokia Android smartphones may be launched in next two quarters. It also seems we can expect Nokia releasing Android Phone and Tablets at MWC 2017.

While Nokia has been out of Phones market for long, good demand for its feature-phones across most of the markets still exits. This reflects in it enjoying good market-share in markets like UAE. As per a recent report, Nokia-branded phones enjoyed 27% market share in UAE market.

Nokia is second to only Samsung in terms of handsets registered on the UAE networks. Nokia 108 is the second most popular phone on UAE Networks with (2.99 per cent) market share.
