Nokia phones and Android smartphones are off to a flying start and market share reports released recently confirm the initial success that HMD is enjoying. We last reported about Nokia brand making a comeback to top rankings in terms of handset sales performance in many markets like Germany, Middle East, Russia, the UK, Indonesia and India. Globally it is back to the 8th rank.
But it certainly sounds sweeter when the endorsement comes from the parent company. Nokia Technologies President Gregory Lee has confirmed tremendous response to Nokia branded phones during the recent Nokia Analyst forum event.
Gregory Lee at #NokiaIAR: Digital health is very exciting. It's a perfect #IoT space for us. We have a worldwide trusted brand, IP and product making capabilities. The reception of Nokia branded phones has been tremendous. https://t.co/8fphEqecJf pic.twitter.com/xXJamBns1w
