Glance Screen, Double tap to wake up, Fast Charging on Nokia 3, 5, 6?? HMD provides answer

We last reported about HMD’s clarifications on Carl-Zeiss optics, Snake on other S30+ devices and VoLTE support in context of Reliance Jio in India. Now, after getting official clarifications on these three we were asked even more questions by our readers.

Many wanted to know whether Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 have Glance screen, Double tap to wake up and Fast Charging features. So again it was better to ask HMD team which we did.

As per HMD communications team, Nokia 3, 5 and 6 don’t come with any of the three above mentioned features. So, these three Android smartphones don’t support Glance Screen, Double Tap to wake up and Fast Charging.

It is good to be clear before making up mind to to go for one.

    what about VR support

Hi Moderators, I remember reading on the site about specially tailored experience for indian market. Now that the phones have been launched, can you elaborate on it by consulting with HMD as what they meant?

I was a huge Nokia fan back in those good old days, but what exactly makes these new “Nokia” handsets deserve that name? I mean none of those nokia goodies like pureview camera, clearlback display, glance screen, carl zeiss lens….is present on these new “Nokia” smartphones.

For me those are actually not Nokia anymore. Just basic features that need to be in place. The actual Nokia that is missing are new features that the others do not yet have. And Im afraid that HMD-Nokia does not have the resources in place, nor are even targeted. Whatever is left in Nokias innnovation, will be realized in networks, Ozo or health businesses.

This devices have Nokia Working with gloves function?

  • Arijit Kundu

Android n already has always on display function same like glance screen. There is quick charge 3.0 which comes with that processor. Wake up matter, well its not too tall phone. maybe next android will support these gesture built in. Or maybe android n already have it. I didnt tested. It can be added later too. Android is flexible. They r talking just PR sentences. Corporate matter.

Android N not have Glance Screen

  • Gohanks Yan

What i do want in the future HMD phones is carl zeiss lens, fast charge and glance screen. With fingerprint sensor, there is no neeed for double tap to wake.

When you have a big screen phone It’s easy to unlock the phone without having to reach that far lock button

  • DBS

And you can blame “the purest Android” for that.
I suggest everyone to write to Nokia and demand those features otherwise they won’t get the consumer feedback and won’t see the tremendous error that is to use stock Android.

What I really like about NOKIA, and made me stick with NOKIA all these years is ‘Glance Screen’.
So a phone without a Glance Screen is not a NOKIA phone to me.
