Windows Phone 8 code reveals High-performance HDR support coming in future.

Windows-Phone-HDR

A “Windowsblogitalia” reader has tipped them with above screenshot of chat between him and developer of one of the best imaging application “Proshot” for windows phone. The developer mentions that they are waiting on Microsoft to add “High performance HDR” support to the Windows Phone code. Good news, is that they also confirm that the current WP code documentation reveals that HDR support will be added, but it doesn’t reveal when?

Like the developer in question let us also hope it comes soon enough.

Thanks Alexandre for the Tip. Cheers!!

Hello! I am the developer for ProShot. I am sorry if this caused any confusion, but Microsoft doesn’t seem to have any plans to add HDR to their camera API. What they may add is the ability to take full-resolution photos at a higher speed than what is currently possible. With this feature, it will then be possible to add a true, high-performance HDR mode to ProShot 🙂

    • Thanks for posting your comment!! We have also mentioned “High performance HDR” support here, as HDR modes is being offered by other apps AFAIK :).
