In a recognition of increasing market and mind share for Nokia Android smartphones across the Globe (-China) the Nokia Mobile support app has crossed 10 million installations on Google Play Store. This obviously means many more Nokia smartphones in active use daily as the installation number usually hint at but not give complete picture of number of devices.

This is certainly good news for HMD and Nokia fans as the brand is again back in numbers and enjoying confidence of owners. In Q2 2018, Nokia smartphone shipments saw a growth to 4.5 million units as compared to 4 million shipments in Q1 2018. As per the report shared by CounterPoint Research this propelled Nokia to 9th top smartphone vendor ranking globally.

In Q4 2017, 4.4 Nokia smartphones were sold which was a steep growth over 2.8 million Nokia Android Smartphones in Q3 2017. As per an earlier report from IDC around 1.5 million Nokia Smartphones were shipped in H1 2017 worldwide.

So, summing these all numbers give us a total shipment number of 1.5+2.8+4.4+4.5+4.0 =17.2 million Nokia smartphone shipments until Q2 2018. Q3 2018 should be even better considering popular smartphones like Nokia 7 Plus were released in this quarter.
