Nokia 8 Camera UI & features leak in new images

Much has been revealed about Nokia 8 in last few days in leaks and rumors. But leaks don’t tend to cease and we have even more coming our way. New leak reveals Nokia 8 screenshot and a unique feature of Nokia 8 camera that will come with Zeiss optics.

As per two screenshots posted in China, Nokia 8 camera will come with three capture modes: RGB, Dual-Camera and Mono.

It will also offer options to use Main camera, Dual-Camera, and Front-facing camera. There are however no signs of the Nokia/Lumia Camera UI that has been transferred to HMD from Microsoft.

Nokia 8 is deemed to be the affordable flagship that will be powered by Snapdragon 835 and will also feature Dual-Lens Zeiss camera. You can check full specs and details of Nokia 8 at our dedicated page. Read our full Nokia 8 coverage by clicking here.

HMD has already sent invites to media for the August 16 event in London where it is expected to unveil Nokia 8 and 3G Nokia 3310. Latest rumors claims to reveal Nokia 8 pricing to be a cool EUR 517 in Europe.

If this is a real Nokia 8 then it’s more confirmation of an IPS display… Whatever happened to clear black? This is certainly not a flagship phone in my opinion. I’ll pass on this one and buy whatever comes with an amoled display.

The “Clear Black” display had to do with a way of polarizing the glass in front of the screen. It was on top of both LCD and OLED displays in the Lumia lineup, so with an IPS screen, that doesn’t mean this phone won’t have a Clear Black display.

Judging by the displays on the Nokia 3, 5 and 6, all of them already have clear black (’cause they have way too good blacks for IPS displays, which is what Clear Black offered). Still, it just goes to prove further that this Nokia 8 is nothing more than an overpriced mid-ranger.

So it’s still the sh*t camera UI they have now without real manual modes, no access to camera2api functions etc.

Well, by the time the phone is actually is out, they’ll have time to update the camera app. They’ve already moved it to the Play Store anyway to make it easier so let’s hope that’s what happens.
