Nokia 2 V now available at Verizon Wireless as a prepaid smartphone

Good news for all the Nokia lovers in the US! Nokia 2V is now available at Verison Wireless as a prepaid smartphone as we reported in one of our earlier posts. The 2V will cost you $69.99 in the US and is available in two color options – Blue and Silver.

The smartphone is similar to the global variant Nokia 2.1 with two exceptions – support for quick charging and stereo sound. The company has also promised to bring it to Rogers subsidiary brand.

HMD Global is proud to continue to deliver on its reliability and durability promise through purposeful, distinct design with best-in-class materials and craftsmanship across the portfolio. Furthering this and providing greater options for consumers, it is also expanding its award-winning selection of Nokia smartphones on Android™ with the launch of two wireless provider-specific devices coming to the United States this month and another coming to Rogers subsidiary brand, chatr, in Canada very soon.

Another important thing to note here is that unlike today’s Nokia smartphones, the 2V is running Android Go edition and comes with Android 8.1 out of the box. You can check out the complete specifications here.
