We last reported about now ex-HMD CEO hinting at a Nokia 3310 (2017) 3G version in works. In an interview he had he said that HMD was aware of the demand of a 3G Nokia 3310 and was keen to meet consumer’s expectations that Nokia 3310 should be compatible across the world.
It seems now that we are getting closer to see Nokia 3310 (3G) version unveiled. TA-1036 is a new 3G feature phone from HMD that has passed certification at FCC. This may very well be Nokia 3310 as can be seen from the size specs revealed in FCC certification.
The certification also reveals the 2G/3G bands that it will support in US.
GSM850: 824.2 MHz ~ 848.8 MHz
GSM1900: 1850.2 MHz ~ 1909.8 MHz
WCDMA Band II: 1852.4 MHz ~ 1907.6 MHz
WCDMA Band V: 826.4 MHz ~ 846.6 MHz
It now looks highly probable that along with Nokia 8, HMD may launch Nokia 3310 3G version on August 16 during its London event.
