Instagram is announcing a new feature for users on Android and iOS. With the new update, you can save posts into private collections. If you are not familiar with saving posts, this feature allows you to save or bookmark posts to a private vault hidden from followers so that you can easily find or view them later. Until now, there was no way to organize your saved posts so that you can quickly get to the photo or video in context, but now there is.
So, the next time you come across some interesting photo or video, tap and hold the bookmark icon below the post to save it directly to a collection. You can create and name a new collection or save it to an existing one, created earlier.
But how about posts saved earlier? Don’t worry, you can also create a collection out of your existing saved posts. It is simple, tap the plus icon in the top right corner, name your collection and choose the saved posts you’d like to add. Done!
To find your saved posts collection, tap on profile icon, and then tap on bookmark tab. Just like all saved posts, your collections are also private, which is pretty nice, indeed.
Download the latest update on Android and iOS (version 10.16).
