That Windows 10 will bring support for bleeding-edge specs, was widely expected and it seems true now with Microsoft revealing the Processor support and minimum hardware specifications at its Windows HEC event in China. We heard about Snapdragon 810, Octa-core processor support coming with Windows 10 for Phones, but even the mid-range will also have power-monsters, it seems.
MSM8992 is 64-Bit Snapdragon 808 processor with hexa-core CPU and rivals Snapdragon 810 in many respects. It comes with Adreno 418 GPU. Apart from Snapdragon 808, we can see Snapdragon 615 and Snapdragon 210 in the list.
Coming to minimum hardware requirement for running Windows 10 for Phones, Microsoft has kept it really comfortable. The absolute minimum seems to be the 4 GB internal memory, 512 MB RAM and MicroSD card support (required for updates). The thing that catches attention is that there is no maximum limit for resolution support and it just mentions 2560 X 2048 and higher. It also seems we may see the flagships with 3 / 4 GB RAM, if they come with higher resolutions.
Thanks Cher & Rindu for the tip. Cheers!!
