Time for some new and interesting tidbits about Windows 10 for Phones aka Windows Mobile 10 (it has re-emerged in WinHec 2015 PPTs) from Microsoft’s WinHec event in China.
Battery Saver to be much more customizable:
It will allow setting the threshold for activating “Battery Saver”. There are other changes in Settings UI.
USB Type-C and Dual Role support:
Much wider USB support including support for USB Type-C and Dual-Role scenarios. Support for USB keyboard, Mice, USB Mass storage and more is present now. USB Type-C brings faster charging, Audio / video Output support and charging directionality.
Much faster OS updates planned:
Devices to be updated within 4-6 weeks of update release with Project Milkyway.
Upgrade Matrix:
It confirms beyond doubt that Windows RT has been killed.
