Windows 10 Mobile grows, other vendors gaining market share: AdDuplex Feb’16 report

AdDuplex has released its Windows Phone report for February 2016. For your information AdDuplex gathers, analyses and releases Windows Phone market share report every month. Here is how the report was generated.

This report is based on data collected from 5,219 Windows Phone apps running AdDuplex SDK v.2 (and higher). The raw data analyzed was collected over the day of February 16th, 2016 (UTC time) unless otherwise stated. We have made every attempt to consolidate different reported phone model names under their canonical retail model names, but it is possible that some of the rare model name variations were not accounted for.

Highlights:

  • The biggest growth this month is in the ‘other’ group as it grows 1.0% since January. The ‘Other’ manufacturers continue to grow this month (up 0.09%) at the expense of NOKIA/Microsoft (down 0.1%) Last month BLU overtook HUAWEI as the fourth most popular device. This month we see their positions revert with HUAWEI up 0.04% and BLU down the same amount

Adduplex Feb 16.1

  • OS share wise Windows Phone 7.x is up by 0.2%, Windows Phone 8.0 is up by 0.1%, Windows Phone 8.1 is down by 1.0%, while Windows 10 Mobile is up by 0.8%.

  • Lumia 535 and Lumia 640 have gained market share in many markets on the expense of devices like Lumia 630.
