HMD has started rolling-out Pie update for Nokia 8 Sirocco in some markets and the update will be released in a phased manner for Nokia 8 Sirocco in all markets. If you are however not that patient and want to taste Pie now there is way it seems.
Nokia 8 Sirocco owner who goes by the name Audioboxer on Nokia Community Forum has shared “official OTA update file” from his rooted Nokia 8 Sirocco. All you need to do is download and save the file on your internal storage and reboot.
Here is the download link shared by the user and you can read the discussion here. The file size is around 1.3 GB and while there seems to be no issue reported by others who updated using this process, risk is all yours.

The Android 9 Pie update brings the majority of Android 9 Pie changes and features to Nokia 8 Sirocco. The major changes and features include all-new gesture-based navigation option, lots of UI changes, Notification improvements, Settings revamp, usability improvements and much more.
