Nokia phones don’t violate Interdigital patents, rules ITC

398079-nokia-and-microsoftIn a good news for Microsoft (As Nokia has already sold its D&S division to Microsoft), ITC has ruled that Nokia Phones don’t violate Interdigital patents. Interdigital is a patent-troll company which has brought as many as three patent cases against Nokia and other phone manufacturers in US.

Interdigital has earlier lost two such patent trials, it brought against Nokia and others but has appealed to courts thereafter. This is the first round of the latest patent case trial and Interdigital seems determined to appeal against this ITC ruling as well.
