As reported by us earlier, Nokia has officially launched its VR camera OZO on November 30 in an event in US and has now opened the pre-orders too. The pricing of $60,ooo again highlights its focus customer segment as the professional video and movie makers. It can be currently booked online only, though it will also be available to purchase from an Authorized Reseller soon (to be announced).
One needs to make a deposit of $5000 for pre-ordering it. It will ship sometime in Q1 2016. OZO is currently only available in the U.S. and can only be shipped to a U.S. address. Nokia will be announcing commercial availability in other markets at a future date.
Nokia OZO is the first Virtual Reality device to capture 360° spherical video and 360×360 surround sound. Design wise it looks cool, interesting and is manufactured by Nokia in Finland.
