HMD today has announced Nokia 5.1 Plus in South Africa. The smartphone is now up for grab in the country for R3,999.00 on MTN pre-paid deals at selected retail stores, starting today.
Note, HMD is bringing the original 5.1 Plus which was launched along with the 6.1 Plus in India and not the new variants that were just announced yesterday. The original Nokia 5.1 Plus comes in two color options – Gloss Black and Gloss Midnight Blue. Moreover, it is an Android One smartphone which assures you three years of monthly security updates and two years of major software updates.

Nokia 5.1 Plus has an Octa-Core MediaTek Helia P60 coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of secondary memory for storage, a 13MP and 5MP dual camera set up at the rear, an 8MP selfie camera, 3060mAh battery.
