In the interest of making the Nokia smartphones more accessible, HMD had performed several stunts in the past. The company is currently in process to launch the Nokia 5.1 Plus with more RAM and storage. Ajey Mehta, Vice President, and Country Head — India has recently taken to Twitter to give us some insight on the development.

According to the Vice President, HMD will soon release two new variants of Nokia 5.1 Plus – with 4GB and 6GB RAM coupled with 64GB storage, giving a fillip to what we covered exclusively earlier this month. The new variants will be up for grab starting February 7 on Nokia website, and at offline stores from February 12.

The company a few days back also announced that Nokia 8.1 would also receive the same treatment. True to its words, the Nokia 8.1 6GB variant is now available for pre-order on the Nokia website. 5.1 Plus with upgraded RAM and storage is a continuation of the strategy and as per our sources, we will see HMD performing these stunts with other Nokia smartphones as well. Our sources confirmed to us that Nokia 6.1 Plus will soon join the Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 5.1 Plus in the coming days.

Pricing:

As per the info we have Nokia 5.1 Plus is priced at Rs 14499 for 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 16,499 for the 6GB/64GB variant.

This is indeed a good move. HMD now have offerings for those who are looking for Nokia smartphones that do the heavy lifting with ease at a super affordable price point.
