Microsoft is rolling out an important update to Microsoft Edge browser to combat fake news. The update introduces NewsGuard which basically tells us about the credibility of news source into the Microsoft Edge browser on Android.
Many a time we fall for the fake news even though we all hate it. And as we move ahead, it won’t be wrong if we declare fake news a global challenge. Microsoft has come up with a solution that can finally put an end to the cancerous nature of the fake news. The company was reportedly working to implement NewsGuard directly into the Microsoft Edge browser. After being confined to the beta testing mode, it is now rolling out to the public.
NewsGuard uses journalism to fight false news, misinformation, and disinformation. Our trained analysts, who are experienced journalists, research online news brands to help readers and viewers know which ones are trying to do legitimate journalism—and which are not.
Microsoft also has rolled out some other features such as ‘Close the browser’ options in the ellipsis menu along with bug fixes and performance improvements. You can download Microsoft Edge from the below link.
