India sits just behind the USA when it comes to the number of Instagram users with a whopping 71 million user base. While 71 million is almost half of what the USA has the number is more than enough to convince the company to make Instagram feel native to the Indian demographics. In order to reach out to more people, Instagram will soon support the Hindi language.

This is a good move from Instagram as the language is certainly not spoken only by Indians, other countries like Pakistan also speak the very same language. Althgouh it is no surprise given its parent company Facebook already supports Hindi and also other regional languages like Tamil, Telegu, Bengali, and to name a few. With that in mind, it won’t be surprising at all if Instagram in coming days adds support for other regional languages like the ones mentioned above.
