You may know Ari Partinen, one of the key people & active face behind Nokia’s unchallenged PureView imaging prowess along with Juha Alakarhu. In a tweet, Ari has revealed that he is leaving “Lumia family” and will start a new chapter in Cupertino, California. This is certainly a loss for Microsoft as they just confirmed using Imaging as a key differentiator.
Though the rest of the team including Juha is still there with Microsoft, but it may be a challenge for Microsoft to retain people behind key technologies, now when Apple is eying them.
Today will be my last day working for the amazing #Lumia family. In June I will start a new chapter in Cupertino, California. Much love!
