Google is rolling out some subtle yet useful changes in the way the app search results are displayed in the Android Play Store. So far the Play store app search results only displayed the name of the developer, rating, and price.
But the changes that Google has been rolling out also make download count and app size to appear now in the search results, as can be seen in the featured image above. This seems to be a server-side change and is rolling out in phases. This screenshot is taken from Nokia 7.1 in India.
The update improves the Play Store user experience by making it faster to know more details about any app. Previously one needed to go to the app page and scroll down to know details like app size and download count.
Thanks Shashank for the tip. Cheers!!
