Updated: Nokia 7 & Nokia 6 2018 may not arrive in India before March

Update:

We recently checked with our sources in retail and it doesn’t look like that Nokia 7 or Nokia 6 2018 will be launched in India before March now. In fact it seems that any new Nokia smartphone launch for India is not happening before March.

Original:

Some good news here for those waiting for Nokia 7 to land outside China, the only market where it is available so far. Our sources tell us that Nokia 7 will be launched in India very soon.

As per the latest information we have Nokia 7 will most probably be launched in India by the end of January 2018. While this info comes from our retail sources who have proved to be accurate in past, launch plans are subject to change. Pricing is not clear and it seems it is too early to talk about Nokia 7 pricing. Though what we hear is that Nokia 7 may be priced around Rs 19999-Rs 20999.

But as per another tip sent to one of our readers Kunal, Amazon customer care has confirmed to him that Nokia 7 will be Amazon exclusive and will be launched in the last week of January. After receiving this tip we sought to confirm it with our retail sources and seems this information has some validity as mentioned above.

Coming to other markets we hear that Nokia 7 is also destined to European markets soon and by February may arrive in most of the markets.

Nokia 7 enjoys as high as 98% positive buyer ratings in China. You can read our full Nokia 7 coverage by clicking here. Read full detailed Nokia 8 specs, features, images, video and other details at the dedicated page.

Releasing those phones in march is very late. HMD Global have very bad timing again. There are other new interesting devices with Snapdragon 630 that rolling out faster globaly like the Sony Xperia XA2 (showed in the CES event). Even if I like the Nokia brand I would not wait to long if I could get similar options much faster.

So I am not so optimistic about the future for the new Nokia as I was before. The competiton is hard and they are just to slow in 2018 as they was in 2017 it seems..

totally agree with you, they are just using name of Nokia, in this fast world HMD global is living in past, I was waiting for Nokia 7 since Nov 17, but now they confirmed that Nokia 7 is not going to launch in India so now I’m planning to buy other company smartphone.

  • Tushar

I have to get a new phone now..was kinda waiting on Nokia 7..although if there is a newer version like Nokia 7 2018 or something, I can wait a few months..

  • Yogendra Pratap Singh

but why nokia 7 is not releasing before march?

  • Sankar Pillay Hovelly

Nayan off topic. Will u be able to review other Nokia products like their health devices and accessories.

    • Kamal

They haven’t launched Nokia Health Products in India so far. We will however try to get some for review.

      • Sankar Pillay Hovelly

        Thank you Kamal.

Nokia care confirmed that Nokia 7 will not going to launch in India.

    • Kamal

      How does that confirm anything??

    • Yogendra Pratap Singh

any proof for this information that you have

      • चन्दन कुमार बैस

that is the ss while I was talking to a Nokia care executive on their official site, they told me that I should stop waiting for Nokia 7 and buy other model of Nokia, because Nokia 7 is not going to launch in Indian market.

  • Sankar Pillay Hovelly

Nayan any idea about Nokia 9…suddenly it went quiet. No leaks.

    • Kamal

Because all that needs to be leaked is already out. Expect launch at MWC.

      • 777sasha3331

        With SD 845?

        • Sankar Pillay Hovelly

One would expect it’s wise to launch the phone with sd845 as other flagship will most likely be announced with sd845 during the same period. The strategy using older processor with good hardware just to fill up the gap didn’t turn up well with LG G6. I hope they delayed it to launch it with a newer processor. That would justify its presence.either that or they bring a game changer in.

          • 777sasha3331

I do not understand why Hmd then delayed the release of Nokia 9?! This is insanity that can not be explained! Releasing it in December, it would be very relevant during the New Year sales. However, they delayed the release for three months and decided to ditch the release of Nokia 9 by releasing it the same day with s9 or Mi7 on SD845. There is a feeling that they are deliberately afraid to compete with top-end devices. The only hope remains on the camera in Nokia 9 that it really will be the best!

  • Gerrard Jr

if they kept the price at 20,000 … man, its gonna be very tempting…
but i want review on those cameras first
    zeiss on the back
and especially those big looking lens of 5mp front camera
