Skype application for windows phone devices has come out of the Beta stage and is now available over marketplace. You can download the application from here.

Skype has also posted the changelog of the official final version of the application. New features include,

  • Video calling in portrait mode
  • friend management capabilities including invite, accept invitations, block, and unblock contacts.
  • Available in 18 languages: English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, European Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, and Traditional Chinese.

The app has been tested and certified for the Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia Lumia 900. Skype app is not available presently for Lumia 610 or devices with lower than 512 MB memory, which is shocking considering the MS-Nokia ambition of winning mass marketshare with Lumia 610 and other similar devices.
