Windows 10 Mobile to PC SMS sync on Skype now requires a code

In case  the SMS syncing in Skype UWP app between your Windows 10 devices don’t work anymore, here is what you need to know. It seems after the latest Skype update, one needs to enter a code generated in the Skype app on PC into the Mobile Skype app.

  1. Check the screenshot above. Launch Skype app on your PC and go to settings. Scroll down till you see the code.
  2. Now launch Skype on your Mobile and go to settings. Now tap on “enter the code” and key in the code as seen on PC.
  3. You should be able to see the PC in list of connected devices.
  4. In case it doesn’t work, just disable and enable “SMS sync” on both PC and Mobile and enter the new code. It should just work fine.
