A new report for the first quarter of 2022 from analyst firm IDC puts Nokia Mobile as the 2nd top vendor globally when it comes to feature phones. The report also reveals that Nokia 105 is most sold feature phone globally in Q1 2022.

As per this report, the Feature Phone market reached $1 billion in Q1 2022. While overall phone unit sales declined 28.5% YoY to 58.9m units, but the category still represents 16% of the total worldwide mobile phone sales. Top feature phone brand is Itel mobile followed by Nokia brand on the 2nd spot.

Nokia 105 was the top sold feature phone in Q1 2022. What is surprising though is presence of next four phones in the top ranking list from Itel.

We recently posted about the Q1 2022 report from analyst firm Strategy Analytics. The report revealed solid growth in Nokia Mobile Financials in Western Europe and North America markets. In North America, Nokia Mobile’s Year-on-Year growth was 87%, while in Western Europe it registered 31% Year-on-Year growth.

Another Q1 2022 report has put Nokia smartphones in 3rd position in terms of market share in the UK. This has been possible because of a market share growth of more than 200% for Nokia smartphones in the UK market.

In Q4 2021, Nokia Mobile grew smartphone shipments in 5 regions, registered highest ASP & tripled US smartphone shipments. Nokia Mobile also registered strong growth in overall smartphone shipments in the last quarter of 2021.
