A correction in the report by analyst firm IDC has even better figures for growth in market share for Nokia smartphones in the UK. It seems that the Nokia smartphone shipments grew over 200% on a Year-on-Year basis in the Q1 2022.
As the updated figures show the shipments in Q1 2021 were 68.7 thousand that jumped to 210.7 thousand in Q1 2022. Nokia smartphones held 4.3% of the UK smartphone market share for a 3rd vendor rank for HMD Global.
A new report from Analyst firm IDC brings some well-needed good news for Nokia Mobile. Shipments of Nokia smartphones grew over 100% on a Year-on-Year basis in the first quarter of 2022 in the UK market. This helped Nokia Mobile owner HMD Global claim 3rd smartphone vendor rank in the market.
In Q1 2022, Nokia smartphones held 4.3% of the UK smartphone market share for a shipment volume of 210.7 thousand units. This compares to the volume of only 92.8 thousand units in Q1 2021. Check the details provided by IDC below.
We recently posted about the Q1 2022 report from analyst firm Strategy Analytics. The report revealed solid growth in Nokia Mobile Financials in Western Europe and North America markets. In North America, Nokia Mobile’s Year-on-Year growth was 87%, while in Western Europe it registered 31% Year-on-Year growth.
In Q4 2021, Nokia Mobile grew smartphone shipments in 5 regions, registered highest ASP & tripled US smartphone shipments. Nokia Mobile also registered strong growth in overall smartphone shipments in the last quarter of 2021.
