We shared the info earlier that Project My Screen feature has started working on Windows 10 Mobile devices but only via USB connection. Good news is that with the latest Windows 10 Mobile & PC Redstone Builds 14328 it is now possible to do so over the Wi-Fi too. We have been checking it for many last builds and can confirm it didn’t work before Build 14328.
So, here are the steps,
- Check whether your Lumia supported Miracast or “Project Over WiFi” feature with Windows Phone 8.1
- Go to Action Center—>Tap on Connect and you should be able to see PCs with Wi-Fi or Miracast projection support in the list
- Your PC should also run Windows 10 Build 14328 and support Miracast projection. You may also need to tweak your settings on your PC by going to Settings–>System—>Projecting to this PC.
- Now on your phone tap to connect to the PC and you will see a prompt on PC asking to “Allow device to project here”. Select yes and the Connect app will open on the PC with projection of your Lumia screen.
