We recently confirmed via official EAN listings that both Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 will have similar exteriors. Now, a new Nokia smartphone variant TA-1187 that can very well belong to one of Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 has passed certification at FCC.
What is interesting about this new variant is that while its size specs are similar to Nokia TA-1178, TA-1181 and TA-1196 its Antenna diagram shows that it is a different smartphone. Check the antenna diagram above for TA-1187 that is a bit different from the antenna diagrams of Nokia TA-1178, TA-1181 and TA-1196 posted below.
The main difference between the two diagrams is in the NFC antenna location and the top WWAN antenna. So, it is easy to assume that Nokia TA-1187 is a different smartphone with the same dimensions as of Nokia TA-1178, TA-1181 and TA-1196.
The FCC certification had revealed that Nokia TA-1187 would come with a display of around 6.3 inches or even bigger. The certification also hinted at Snapdragon 660 processor for Nokia TA-1178, TA-1181 and TA-1196. The Geekbench entry for Nokia 6.2 Starlord and Nokia 7.2 Daredevil has also revealed Snapdragon 660 processor. So, things look falling in place.
HMD has already scheduled an event on September 5 in Berlin where it will certainly make some new phone/smartphone announcements. We recently confirmed via official EAN listings that both Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 will have similar exteriors.
