Introduction

We are weeks away from MWC where HMD Global will unveil HMDPhones and probably Nokia branded feature phones. While their recent offerings of feature phones are great, it still could not match with legendary feature phones from the past like the Asha 311 here.

Nokia Asha 311

Among the best Asha series device, the Nokia 311 was launched 12 years ago, running on a S40 platform with Java support. It blends in the Nokia N9 gesture based navigation which gives it a sleek and smooth experience. The tiny and compact feature phone is powered by 1Ghz processor with a tiny 128MB RAM and has a 256MB ROM which is expandable. This is probably also the first Nokia feature phone device that supports capacity touch display with pinch to zoom function.

Back in 2012, the Asha 311 could do much of the functions of a smartphone. Apps like Whatsapp, Facebook,Twitter and YouTube were supported.
