Good news for Nokia 8 owners out there. Nokia 8 will get new camera experiences with Android Pie update. This comes after the fiasco when a camera update was pushed to Nokia 8 erroneously causing issues.
Now, HMD CPO Juho Sarvikas has taken to twitter to let the Nokia 8 owners know what to expect in terms of major updates in future. So, Nokia 8 will get Android Pie as the next major OS update and it will also pack a new Camera app with new experiences.
Hey let's not get carried away here 😀. We already issued a camera update and you will shortly get another one with Pie with new experiences. Also ARcore support is there, 8., Etc… Facial unlock we haven't rolled out yet to our products as we are still evaluating solutions.

Coming to the “Face Unlock” feature that Nokia smartphone owners are waiting for, Juho has revealed it to be still “in works”. Though HMD recently got the trademark for Face Unlock and it may seem that they will ship this feature with Nokia 9 perhaps.
