We last reported via a tip that Nokia 7 Plus may be receiving the Android 9 Pie stable update in India though our devices didn’t get it and we asked you to take it with a pinch of salt. Now, seems we were right in being skeptical, as HMD has announced Android 9 Pie Beta 4 update for Nokia 7 Plus.

On checking we can see that it is now available on our Nokia 7 Plus TA-1046 variant in India. The update is around 1480.5 MB in size and it is the pre-final build for Android 9 Pie, as Google released the stable Android 9 Pie for Pixel device after the Beta 4.
While we wait for the official announcement and our Nokia 7 Plus waits for the stable Android Pie roll-out, Google has confirmed that all Android One smartphones will get the taste of Pie during Fall. How to install & other details:
You can just click on the link provided below and enroll to the developer program for getting the Android P Dev Preview if you haven’t done so.
You should be aware that this will result into data loss from your device, as you will have to start from the scratch post the Android P installation, so first get all important data backed-up. Check our back-up tutorial here. You can check our restore tutorial in case you want to restore your data post the update installation.
In case you are facing issues and want to roll-back to Android Oreo you can go to the same page and do a roll-back OTA.
