First Impressions:

While it was not possible to do a detailed hands-on in such a limited time, we are posting our first impressions of the Nokia 6 here.

Nokia 6 looks every bit a premium Flagship smartphone with a full-metal sharp design. The 6000 series Aluminum uni-body design oozes Nokianess in every way. If this is the design prowess of Nokia 6, we can really keep our hopes high about seeing class-leading design on top-end Nokia Android phones like Nokia 8 and Nokia 9.

Nokia 6 has already proved its tank-link build quality and durability in a series of torture tests conducted by many well-known YouTube channels.

HMD, please come up with an Android version of the Nokia E7. Please, please, please

E7 with Android would be a dream come true. The design was just beautiful, and when the keyboard was opened the display would be automatically at a great angle when used at your desk. With these generic slabs these days I have to use a phone holder to keep the phone at an angle, and it’s just messy. And obviously a physical keyboard is always better than an on-screen keyboard.

BTW, I just fished out my E7 from a desk drawer and I’m marvelling at its beauty. *sigh* Sure Android E7’s display might have to be bigger (E7 was 4″) and it maybe shouldn’t be quite as thick as E7 was but otherwise I’d be totally ok with the same design. I wonder if Microsoft ended up owning the patents for the design?

The keyboard mechanism was surprisingly durable. I used the phone for 2 years before the bloody usb connection got busted (the same happened with my N900) but still the keyboard and the opening mechanism/hinge works like it’s brand new today.
