By looking at the price and stuff under the hood, it is safe to say that Realme 2 Pro is indeed one hell of a competitor to the Nokia 6.1 Plus. It even outweighs the 6.1 Plus in many areas.
In the year 2018, we have seen a lot of interesting trend in the smartphone business. Some of them might seem obvious and some are beyond our anticipation. Realme, for example, started as Oppo’s sub-brand may be to give it a boost to their online sales. However, the sub-brand ended up being an all-new smartphone manufacturer company, breaking the ties with Oppo.
Nokia 6.1 Plus vs Realme 2 Pro: Price
I would say the Realme did a better job in pricing the device. The Realme 2 Pro starts at Rs. 13,990 and goes up to 17,990. The Nokia 6.1 Plus, on the other hand, is stuck in Rs. 15,999.
Both of them ties up with mobile carriers which in turn make the effective price go down. The 6.1 Plus in partnership with Airtel is now offering extra Rs.1800 cashback and 240GB of data(Rs.50 cashback per month for 36 months on Rs.199, 249 & 448 plans. 20GB per month for 12 recharges). Mind you that this remains valid when you purchase it from the Nokia website.
While Realme 2 Pro did tie up with India’s leading carrier Reliance Jio to offer some vouchers and free 4G data up to 1TB, it is no longer valid as it ended on October 4, 2018.
Nokia 6.1 Plus vs Realme 2 Pro: Display and Design
Design wise both Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Realme 2 Pro feel premium. If we talk about the screen size and quality, both of them are good. Nokia 6.1 Plus offers a 5.8-inch 1080p IPS LCD while the Pro offers slightly more screen real estate than the 6.1 Plus as it has a 6.3-inch 1080p IPS LCD with a notch which is hardly noticeable, Realme calls it a Waterdrop Notch Design.
In terms of design, there is one important distinction between the two. The Realme 2 Pro even though looks like a glass design but it actually made of plastic while the 6.1 Plus looks like a glass body design and it is exactly what it is made up of.
Nokia 6.1 Plus vs Realme 2 Pro: Camera
Inside the 6.1 Plus, you also find 16MP+5MP with a dual LED flash at the backside and 16MP at the front. It has EIS and bothie but no Zeiss lens, unfortunately. Realme 2 Pro also has a dual set up. We are talking 16MP at the front just like the 6.1 Plus, and at the back, you find a 16MP+2MP with dual LED flash. And yes it has EIS too.
Nokia 6.1 Plus vs Realme 2 Pro: Performance and battery
HMD’s candidate rocks an Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 processor clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM, 64 GB of inbuilt storage, and a 3060mAh of battery. On the flip side, the Realme 2 Pro packs an Octa-core Snapdragon 660 AIE processor coupled with 4GB of RAM(you also have 6GB and 8GB variant) and 64GB/128GB of storage.
