HMD has maintained quite good secrecy in terms of not allowing Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 to leak much before launch at MWC 2017. Only time we saw two devices with HMD product codes TA-1008 and TA-1030 passing certification was in Russia.
But now it seems Nokia 5 wasn’t among one of them. TA-1030 may be Nokia 3 and TA-1008 the Nokia 3310 (2017). Nokia 5 is in fact TA-1053 and till this date it didn’t passing certification anywhere. Now Geekbench certifications and other sources reveal that Nokia 5 is in fact TA-1053 (Check above screenshot).
What is more interesting is that TA-1003 which though to be the global variant, may in fact be the Arte Black or the new variant seen in China with 4 GB RAM / 32 GB storage. The global variant for Nokia 6 seems to be TA-1025, which is seen on Geekbench with 3 GB RAM (Check above screenshot).
That leaves us with TA-1030 and we think it must be a Nokia 3 version considering its proximity with TA-1028, that is revealed to be Nokia 3 as per above entry. We will have to see whether Nokia releases a beefed up version of Nokia 3 in China or not, like it did in case of Nokia 6.
