HMD has started pushing December Security update to Nokia 3 before Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 in global markets. Our readers have tipped us about the update being available for Nokia 3 and it is also available for our Indian Nokia 3 variant.
Since Nokia 3 will directly update to Android Oreo now it hasn’t again received the Android 7.1.2 along with December Security update.
As you can see in the screenshots above the December security update for Nokia 3 is 345.4 MB in size. You will either be prompted to download this update or you can check by going to Settings and searching system updates and then by checking for the update.

HMD has been quite consistent in terms of releasing Monthly Security updates and OS updates for Nokia smartphones already available in the market. HMD has also made it clear that all Nokia Android Phones will receive minimum two years of OS update support.
