Nokia 9 PureView is the only eligible Nokia smartphone to not receive the Android 11 update so far. Now, Nokia Mobile has confirmed that there will be no Android 11 update for Nokia 9 PureView.
On the official Nokia 9 PureView page on its site, Nokia Mobile has cited “Incompatibilities between the camera and the software” as the reason to cancel the update. This was apprehended by many given Nokia Mobile’s inability to provide any update for Nokia 9 PureView camera.
Nokia phones are about offering the best possible smartphone experience, day in and day out. It’s something we take pride in. That is why we had to make the tough choice not to offer the Android 11 software upgrade for Nokia 9 PureView. Incompatibilities between the camera and the software would have led to a compromised experience that does not meet our high standards.
For the Nokia 9 PureView users however Nokia Mobile is offering a 50% discount on Nokia XR20 or any other Nokia smartphone.
