MS: Windows Phone outselling iPhone in 7 and BlackBerry in 26 markets. 10% marketshare in many countries.

Lumia WP8 Family

Microsoft has claimed in its latest official blog post that according to IDC’s latest report, Windows Phone is now outselling iPhone in 7 and BlackBerry in 26 markets worldwide. Also, in many markets the Windows Phone has grown to claim more than 10% market share. This is certainly encouraging trend and at least 75-80% of the credit goes to Nokia Lumia family 😉 for this. But the real news will be outselling Android in many markets, which may become a reality with onset of Lumia 520 and Lumia 720.

Anyways, with Nokia usually keeping mum on such juicy details, at least we have one official channel talking !!

Thanks Tim for the Tip. Cheers !!

would be interesting to understand if it’s 10% share of sales in these markets or a 10% share of the smartphone installed base… If it’s option 1, then it’s pretty underwhelming to me…
