Lenses app brings one-tap access to camera lenses on Windows Phone.

While Lenses is an interesting feature of Windows Phone and extends camera’s functionality, its accessibility leaves something to be desired. It is hidden in the settings of the camera UI and accessing it from settings feels slightly unintuitive.

Developer Fela Ameghino has sought to improve this situation with his Lenses app, which enables one tap access to all the camera lenses from home screen.

As can be seen in above screenshots you have only one setting , i.e. accent color for the Lenses tile. Now you just need to pin this tile to home screen. Now tap once and you can access any of the installed camera lenses. It is easy but effective.

Unless Microsoft or Nokia provide icons for lenses in the camera UI itself, this Lenses app is certainly recommended for making your life easy.

This would be great if i could also use this as the standard launch app when pushing the camera button

Bro, there’s an icon in the camera app.

You are right. What I meant was icons and not one icon. A grid of icons on top for desired lenses will be really great. But, if you look at Nokia Camera which most of us use by default it’s totally hidden in settings.
