HP Elite X3 packs advanced “Double Tap to Wake up” feature

HP Elite X3, the most interesting Windows 10 Mobile device on market today has gone even more interesting. As per the new information revealed, it supports advanced “Double Tap to Wake up” feature. This is interesting because it indicates very close collaboration between Microsoft and HP enabling some desirable Lumia features on vendor devices. Even better we may see enhancements coming to this feature in future.

As can be seen in the screenshots, it seems one can fine tune Double tap sensitivity and also duration between taps by going to settings.

HP Elite X3 is the most powerful Windows 10 Mobile device known officially. It runs on the powerful Snapdragon 820 processor and packs a 6-inch QHD display. It is the first Windows 10 Mobile Smartphone to come with both Fingerprint sensor and IR scanner. It will also showcase virtualized Win32 apps installed on it that can be run via Continuum on connected PCs.

    Well, that’s a nice feature. The one in the Lumias is horrible. I wouldn’t know if the X50 series does better, since I am still with the 1520.

  • Nice. I believe you also have access to settings to keep the X3 from going to sleep. Seeing all the ports available and the size of its battery on the lapdock that can be purchased as a bundle with the X3, it really is a great combination with the continuum features and power of the X3.
