Many Symbian users have been asking this question in many forums, so I thought to put up this article for all of you who want to get more out of Symbian Belle’s Social to contact and Nokia chat to contact integration.
Social to Contact Linking:
- Prerequisite is that you have configured at least one of your Facebook or twitter accounts.
- Go to the phone contact you want to link and click on the bottom right menu button, select manage links.
- It will take you to social application, and will search for the contact name. In case phone contact name is not same in social account you can search it ourself, and then click on the link button, and it’s done.
- And you will be able to see the contact’s Facebook/twitter status and the profile picture in contact card itself.
- Please go through above screenshots one by one and it is self explanatory.
Nokia chat to Contact Linking:
- Prerequisite is that you have configured at least one of your chat accounts.
- Go to the chat account and click on the contact you want to link and click on the bottom left menu button, select contact options, a menu will open, now select link to phone contact.
- It will take you to phone contacts, and will ask for searching the contact name. Search the contact and then click on the it, and it’s done.
- And you will be able to see the contact’s chat id and online status in contact card itself.
- Please go through above screenshots one by one and it is self explanatory.
You can also put contact widgets on the homescreen itself (Shown in third screenshot) and it is just one tap away to know what your contact is up to socially or whether he or she is online to chat.
So happy socializing and chatting 🙂
