Two things stood out during the World Cup Football frenzy. Germany as the ultimate team and Cortana as the ultimate soothsayer!! Germans deserved it and they finally got the cup of their dreams. Cortana was so right about finals, in fact if we leave one outlier “Brazil vs Netherlands” for 3rd place bout, it has 15 correct outcome predictions in a row including the finals. Something to be proud of, for its creators and the team behind it.
If Microsoft can keep the “Bing Prediction Engine” up with other big sports events as well, then the Windows Phone platform may attract huge attention of sports lovers. Cortana already has been able to grab some mind share here with its supremacy over every one else predicting the outcomes.
