It is perhaps the closest specifications fight that Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL have endured yet, against any competitor’s flagship devices we have compared them to. In fact Display, RAM, Processors wise it looks like a close call at fist glance, but pros and cons appear on closer inspection.

Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL do better than Galaxy S6 and Note 5 in Battery life, expandable memory, replaceable battery, Camera (Rear). But Note 5 has more RAM than Lumia 950 XL and Galaxy S6 has slightly higher PPI and Octa-Core vs Hexa-Core advantage over Lumia 950. Though Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL feature “Liquid Cooling” missing from Samsung flagships.

Lumia 950 and Lumai 950 XL also have some unique features missing from Samsung flagships like Continuum for Phones, Iris Scanner, Glance Screen, HAAC recording etc. In comparison Note 5 and Galaxy s6 have Fingerprint scanner missing from Lumia Flagships. Lumia Flagships also come with USB Type-C with clear benefits over microUSB tech used in Samsung flagships.

Pricing wise too Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL drill smaller holes in your pocket than Galaxy Flagships. So, overall it seems that Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL pack enough ammunition to blast Samsung Flagships out of the Park. Some may argue about the metallic body of Note 5 and Galaxy S6 over polycarbonate body of Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, but considering the availability of Metal Body Covers for Lumia Flagships, this doesn’t seem to be a very big disadvantage anymore.
