Two quick Nokia news!! Nokia has released “Here Maps” Beta for recently launched Asha 501 at Nokia Store. Nokia intends to bring an additional level of scale to HERE Maps by bringing it to Asha platform, which will drive HERE platform in high growth markets. This release is the first for devices without GPS.
This first beta release of HERE Maps, specifically designed for smartphones without GPS, is a starting point and we will improve the experience over time. But let’s first have a look at everything you can do with it on your new Nokia Asha 501.
You can search for places and addresses in nearly 200 countries, then plan how to get there with drive, public transit and walk directions as list or map view.

In second piece of news, Nokia has announced a renewal of its global marketing strategy, and the appointment of JWT, one of the most renowned creative agencies in the world.
Tuula Rytilä, Nokia’s chief marketing officer, said: “In many ways, we’ve changed the way we market Nokia and our products. At the core of the Nokia brand are attributes such as quality, innovation and relevancy. We are excited to collaborate with JWT and come up with new and creative ideas that embody the Nokia brand and broaden the emotional appeal of our products.”
“We’re confident that JWT can help us market our products in a manner that is bold, disruptive and, most importantly, resonates with consumers,” Rytilä said.
Let us hope, Nokia marketing really gets creative with help of JWT and is able to convey the message emphatically to buyers.
