Ballmer: China is the fastest growing WP market!! MS to hire employees for WP technical support in China .

Not exactly 100% related to Nokia but at least 80% :P. The good news is, “according to MS CEO Ballmer, China has become the fastest growing Windows Phone market“. He also revealed that MS would hire thousands of employees in China, for a new cloud computing services and for Windows Phone  technical support.

Ballmer said at a press conference in Shanghai on Thursday, Microsoft currently has 4,000 employees in China and their enrollment will be conducted next year. He did not disclose the specific number of employees of Microsoft will recruit. Mr Ballmer said, China has become the Microsoft Smartphone operating system’s fastest-growing markets.

China being the no.1 smartphone market in the world with very impressive growth rate has always been on Nokia’ radar as well for its smartphone volume ambitions. Seems with launch and very hot reception of Lumia 520 and Lumia 720T in China and better supply for Lumia 920 and 920T, it may be finally gathering the needed pace. Actually massive market like China being the fastest growing WP market has lots of significance for much-needed volume growth!!

Let’s not get started with more ‘we are hot in China’.
Not getting fooled twice. Acknowledgement will come after the proof this time.

Hope the Xbox One catches the sales wave in China and helps push Nokia sales with it.

My take on Ballmer’s announcement is that the Lumias 520, 520T, 720 & 720T released in April are catching fire! That’s just a speculation since I have no artifacts about the sale numbers and the Chinese market relies on local social networks and you can’t use Facebook connection to gage sales.
