In this tutorial, we are showing how to use backup, reset and restore functionalities on Nokia Mobile Phones. There may be many times when you need to reset your Nokia Android smartphone. So if you plan to reset your Nokia smartphone, the first thing you need to do is to backup data like phone settings, phone data, app data and app settings.

How to Backup, Reset & Restore your Nokia Android smartphone
- How to take Backup
Go to Settings–>System–>Backup. Toggle on “Back up to Google Drive”. You will need to set a backup account. Use the google account you used to set up your device. Check the second screenshot in the image provided below for more Backup options.
- How to reset
Go to Settings–>System–>Reset options. Tap on “Erase all data (Factory reset)” and follow the on-screen instructions. This will wipe all data from your smartphone and it will return to the condition when you first received it. Screenshots provided below show the navigation and the reset options.
- How to restore
Select “Copy your data” from the two options when you boot up your device. Now select “A backup from the cloud” from the three options. Enter your Google account username and password in which you have taken a backup before doing reset.
Now you can choose backup from which you want to restore from the available options. Once you have chosen the backup you can even choose individually which app you want to restore on your phone along with their data.

Backup and Reset options exist separately in Android Oreo and above. It offers much granular control over what data to backup, auto-restore and also shows detailed description of what has been backed up. There are new options to reset only “Network settings and the overall App data”. There are more change however that you would like to see in the video below.
