Nokia Mobile India has shared an amazing feat on its social media channels. 25 years ago, India witnessed its first-ever mobile call being made and it was made on Nokia Phones, as you may have correctly assumed.

As rightly pointed by Nokia Mobile this was the beginning of a telecom revolution in India, which is perhaps one of most important and challenging market now.
Coming to this first ever mobile phone call, it was between Union Telecom Minister, Sukh Ram, and Chief Minister of West Bengal, Jyoti Basu in the year 1995. The analogue Nokia phone, Nokia rinGo was used to make this call.
