Windows 10 Mobile Build 14295: Known Issues

Microsoft has just pushed Windows 10 Mobile Build 14295 to Windows Insiders in Fast ring and with a Redstone supported device. While the build brings some fixes for the last build 14291 it also has its own set of known issues, that you may like to read about before updating your devices.

Build 14295 Known Issues:

  • After updating to the most recent builds from our Development Branch, a system API failure occurs after the update that causes the Microsoft Band 1 or 2 to have sync issues. To get out of this bad state, you can reset your phone on this build, re-pair your Microsoft Band, and syncing should work again.
  • After upgrading to this build from a previous build from our Development Branch, attempting to connect to a Miracast receiver the connection will fail. There is no workaround for this issue unfortunately on Mobile.
  • The Gadgets app will not detect the Microsoft Display Dock on phones running Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview builds, and thus cannot update the firmware version. If you have a dock which has already been updated to version 4 then this will not affect you. If you have a dock that has not been updated, then you may experience some minor issues with USB-C stability. You will still be able to use your dock and Continuum.

Mobile hotspot has stopped working for me which could have serious consequences. Now getting this message when turning it on. “We can’t share this Internet connection because we can’t connect to the cellular network”
Everything has worked perfectly before the update.

Hi. I have the exact same issue with build 14295. Phone: MS Lumia 640 LTE.
Looking forward for a fix in next release 🙂

FYI: After updating to build 10.0.14322.1000, my Mobile Hotspot is working again 🙂
But I can’t change the network pw for the hotspot…
PS: Have just seen, there is a 10.0.14332.1001 out… – will give it a go…

There is no issue with Microsoft band 1 sync. It works perfect. I don’t understand why they have listed under known issues.

It is still in development, you should certainly expect bugs. If you are not happy with the feature set (or performance issues), more constructive comments can help Microsoft to make changes in the feature set and debugging. Most important is to use the official feedback tool on your Insider enabled device, to ensure that the comment is properly addressed.

      Don’t think this is Redstone.
