Windows 10 Mobile apps update issue & error 0x803F8006 fixed by Microsoft

Store update error

While sharing our impressions of the latest Windows 10 Mobile Build 10586.11, we identified one major bug; “Apps update issue, that continuously shows many Lumia exclusive apps in error” while trying to update them in Store. It happens due to a licensing issue and the related error code is 0x803F8006. This issue has occurred even on some Lumia 950 devices that ship with Build 10586 we hear.

Now seems Microsoft has fixed this issue finally. I had as many as 14 zombie apps updates on my Lumia 640 XL and today after updating there is none left. Similarly on my Lumia 1020, Lumia 525 it is all updated. Recently Microsoft has pushed many updates for various Lumia specifics settings like “Touch” and now you would be able to see what has changed.

I ended up with 11 zombie apps so I reverted back to WP 8.1. If it is fixed I may install 10586 again. It worked really good on my L640 DS.
