WhatsApp for Windows Phone & Windows 10 Mobile has received a major update. The update that takes the app version to 2.12.318 brings some significant new features to the app. Document sharing, Video trimming and Auto-Save Media are three major new features / options that we were able to note in the updated app. Though there are more changes in UI due to these new features.

Here is the full changelog,

  • You can share the documents from you chat window and there is one new icon for sharing of documents
  • Photos and Videos are now clubbed under Album now in Chat window when you tap on the attachment icon
  • You can trim the videos before sending using new video trimmer that not only allows trimming but also cropping of the videos. Check the screenshots above
  • Chats and Calls setting now have “Save Incoming Media” toggle, which allows one to set whether auto-save or not the photos and videos that your receive.
